Overcoming Fear in uncertain times

"The Fears that Haunt Us"

(Numbers 13:17-21, 25-33  14:1-2
James 2:14,18)
Fear is the body’s natural response designed to keep us safe. The brain and our senses detect danger, and we respond with a fight, flight or freeze behavior.  But sometimes, fear and our responses are exaggerated, or they are triggered by something unrelated to the present.  In these times, fear can cause us to get stuck.  It can prevent us from living the kind of life we desire and that God intends for us.  In faith we choose to believe that things can work out, look squarely at those fears, and make a plan for conquering them, all the while praying the scriptures can help us stay centered with courage.
