Focus Scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:6-7
How could I pass up 1 Corinthians 16:6? It is, after all, one of the theme verses for Journey: "Perhaps I will stay with you for a while . . . so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go."
All of life is a journey. The question is always, are we going toward something or away from something? Are we running to hide, as Elijah did in much of 1 Kings 18-19? Or are we running toward God and the future God wants for us? Paul is always seeking to move as God leads him. But even in a journey of travel and discovery, there can be a season of sitting, resting, and strengthening for the journey to come. Are you in a season of rest and strengthening? Or perhaps you can be that place of rest for another, strengthening and preparing the other for the journey to come?
Can I help you rest? Is there a way I can help strengthen you for your journey?
